Metsä Board, part of the Metsä Group, closed 2020 by announcing the sale of a 30% stake in a pulp mill located in Husum, Sweden. The Swedish forest owners' cooperative Norra Skog bought a third of the enterprise.

After the New Year, on January 4, it became known that the deal was completed. The results of the sale of the plant stake will be included in the financial statements of Metsä Board in the interim report for the first quarter of 2021.

It is reported that the plant in Husum is implementing an investment project to modernize equipment. It is planned to be completed in 2022. The project is estimated at 320 million euros.
