Price of Swiss pellets has declined sharply in May. In national currency terms, pellets have become cheaper over April by 5,44% and almost 10% cheaper compared to May 2014. This price fall can be attributed to the usual seasonal decline which marks the end of the heating season.

In May, the average price for wood pellets quality ENplus A1 is 372.3 CHF, the equivalent of 358.50 EUR. With the Swiss franc keeping stable against the euro, the price drop could also be notice in euro terms: pellets are cheaper by 5,80% from April, when the price stood at 380.61 EUR.

Depending on the pellet delivery amount, the price per ton varies from 360.75 CHF (8 tons) to 384.9 CHF (3 tons). Looking at last year's development, from May to June, and if the Swiss franc keeps its recent stable level, we can say that the price will stabilize in June.
