Pellet prices rise sharply in Austria

End consumer prices for ENplus A1 quality wood pellets in Austria rose sharply in August. The average price for loose goods (delivery quantity 6t) is  53.78 cents/kg. This is 2.6% more than in December and 22.1% more than in July 2022 and  139.4% more than in August 2021. 

The pellet price index PPI 06 rose to  302.49 points in January. 

As usual, pellets achieve the highest prices in western Austria, where the average price is  56.39  cents/kg. Pellets are cheapest in the south at an average of  53.31 cents/kg. In the north they cost an average of 52.38 cents/kg.

Sack goods cost EUR 8.53 per 15 kg sack or 56.84 cents/kg.
