Currently, the demand for finger-jointed squares and beams (KVH) in Germany is high. Sometimes demand exceeds supply. After price increases in February and March, prices were raised again by € 5 to 10/m³ in April an May. Price increase in raw rafters for KVH production seams to have come to an end for now. There are even some smaller sawmills that slightly withdraw their prices. The targeted € 210/m³ were not implemented.

The weak construction market in Italy promotes the production of raw rafters. On the sales side, expiring special offers cap the scope for higher prices. Since conditions had been attractiv, many traders had replenished their stocks until May. Thus, replenishing purchases are currently reduced.

Order-picked goods are in high demand. Both producers of wooden structures and of prefabricated houses have well filled order books. Many companies have expanded production on an extended 2- or 3-shift operation. For some product lines there are delivery times. In export, only demand from France is rising.
