The 8th International Conference on Bio-based Materials conference, organized by German-based nova-Institute, aims to provide major players from the European and Asian bio-based chemicals, plastics and composite industries with an opportunity to present and discuss their latest developments and strategies. Representatives of political bodies and associations will also have their say alongside leading companies.

For the second time, the third day of the conference will focus on start-up companies - bringing them in contact with consultants, investors and industry. The highly promising new companies are selected by the nova-Institute and cooperation partners of this special day: The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWI), CLIB2021, and IAR (Industries et Agro-Ressources, France), supported also by BCNP Consultants and InfraServ Knapsack, the silver sponsor of the conference.

Further highlights of the conference will be: bio-based 3D printing and bio-based plastics and the environment.

The election of the winners of the Innovation Award “Bio-based Material of the Year 2015” will be the central event of the first conference day crowned by the award ceremony at the gala dinner in the evening.
